About Know Your Tout

Know Your Tout (KYT) is a free tool for sports bettors who want to know whether the picks they pay for are worth it.

A calculator, not a predictor.

Captions are in the video. The presenter is an AI likeness of KYT’s founder, Ken Mages, in his own words. The slip is an example with made-up numbers.

Why KYT exists

Paid pick sellers, or touts, sell confidence: "lock of the week", "5 units", "70% to win". KYT checks those claims against the price the sharpest sportsbook in the world is willing to take, and shows the gap in plain words.
We think most paid picks are not worth the money. We would rather show you the math than ask you to take our word for it, so the math is free and always will be.

What KYT does

You upload or type a bet slip and what your tout said about it. KYT shows what the payout needs to win, what the market says, and what the bet costs you on average.
Every tout in our directory has a page with what we know about them and questions worth asking before you pay. The skill-or-luck checker tells you whether a record beats what luck alone would do.

What KYT is not

KYT is not a sportsbook. We do not take bets, sell picks, or earn money when you bet. We do not accept advertising from gambling companies, and we do not take money from touts.
Nothing here is advice to bet or not to bet. It is arithmetic. A smart pass is a win, too.

How KYT is paid for

The math is free. KYT Premium, for bettors who want proof over time, records the closing price for every bet they save and turns it into a shareable report card. KYT plans to show ads from Google, with gambling ads blocked; none run yet.

Know Your Tout is not a sportsbook and does not sell picks. If you bet, bet for fun, not for income. The odds, and our own test, say the money goes the other way. If betting stops being fun, call 1-800-GAMBLER (US, free and confidential).
