Questions bettors ask

It’s OK to feel a bit scared and a lot greedy here. Greedy enough to keep your money.

Can't I just paste my slip into a chatbot for free?

A chatbot is good at reading a slip and explaining the bet. What it doesn’t have is the pros’ price: the live price at the sportsbook professional bettors measure against. That price isn’t published to US bettors. KYT pays for an odds feed to get it.
Without that number, a chatbot can tell you what you need to win, but not what the market thinks will happen. It may even guess the odds without saying so. "You need 60%, the market says 54%" is the whole check, and only the second half tells you whether the bet is bad.
KYT also does the same math the same way every time, puts your tout’s claim next to the market, and keeps your record over time. Try both on the same slip and compare the market number.

Does KYT use AI?

Yes, to read your slip and to work out which game and bet you mean, so KYT can fetch the pros’ price. Snap a screenshot and it fills in the teams, the bet and the odds in seconds.
KYT never uses AI to guess who wins. The check itself is plain arithmetic against the pros’ price, the same every time. AI picks are everywhere, and an AI that sells picks still has to beat the market. KYT shows you whether it does.

Where does the market price come from?

From the pros’ price: the sportsbook price professional bettors measure against, with the sportsbook’s built-in profit removed. How we know explains why that price is the best estimate of the real chance.

Will KYT tell me what to bet?

No. KYT checks the price and the claim. It never predicts the outcome and never sells picks. The day KYT sold a pick, it would be a tout.

Is it really free?

Every check is free, with no account needed. KYT Premium, which tracks your picks against the closing line and builds a report card, will cost $7.99 a month or $59 a year, with a 14-day free trial.

What is the closing line, and why does it matter?

It’s the last price before the game starts, with all the news priced in. If you keep getting better prices than the close, you probably know something. If you don’t, your wins are mostly luck. It’s the one number in sports betting that’s hard to fake.

Know Your Tout is not a sportsbook and does not sell picks. If you bet, bet for fun, not for income. The odds, and our own test, say the money goes the other way. If betting stops being fun, call 1-800-GAMBLER (US, free and confidential).
